Oill Spill in Gulf

Many animals and plants were hurt and still are getting hurt and affected because of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. It is a spill like no other, taking place a mile or so deep under water, in layers of more shallow water and also on the surface. It is said that there more than 50,000 gallons of oil being spilled into the Gulf of Mexico. Scientitsts are worried about how far it will spread and go. Many people are doing whatever they can to stop this spill before it hurts any more animals and plants around the ocean. Thursday crews had sprayed 798,000 gallons of chemicals to dissolve the oil at the surface and injected another 346,000 gallons under water to break it up near the seafloor. In 142 controlled fires, crews also burned an estimated 3.62 million gallons of oil on open water. About one-third of the Gulf is only left good enough to fish. If the oil spill continues that one third will also be closed down.

Five restaurants that I would visit.

5 Restaurants I Would Visit

5 restaurants that I would visit if I had the time and unlimited funds are:

1. Aji Sushi, a japanese restaurant that I heard serves one of the best Japenese foods in the city. It was rated a 4 out of 5 and serves one of the best sushi's in the city. The dish I would buy from this particular restaurant is Oshizushi. Oshizushi is pressed sushi, in which the fish is pressed onto the sushi rice in a wooden box. http://www.menupages.com/restaurants/aji-sushi/

2. CinaMoon Restaurant, a polish restaurant located in Manhattan Avenue. It is a Polish restaurant that was rated 5 out of 5 in retsuarant reviews. It has the best polish food according to people who have been there. It also has very good prices. It gives you the food you paid for and more. The cuisine I would try from this restaurant is Golabki. This is cabbage rolled up in rolls with different toppings inside. http://www.menupages.com/restaurants/cinamoon-restaurant/

3. Atlantic Catering, a 5 star American restaurant that serves the best traditional American food according to critics. The dish I would try from there is the smoked salmon with sliced tomatoes and red onion. According to people that went there, this dish is one of the best dishes they had in American traditional food. It is everything they paid for. http://www.menupages.com/restaurants/atlantic-catering/menu

4. Apple Bee's, this is another one of the American restaurants I would visit. Although the restaurant was rated a 3 out of 5 people that been there said it had wonderful service and great food. It is said that it is the best restaurant to go to with family and friends if your looking for fun. The dish I would try from there is the traditional grilled shrimp and sinach salad along with a Ceasar Salad. http://www.menupages.com/restaurants/applebees-6/

5. Andaz, an indian restauarnt rated 5 out of 5. It is said it has the best service and bst indian food in the city. Olive Garden Restaurant Review

I've been to many restaraunts that have given me food worth my money, and they also had good customer service and lines were fast moving in a nice pace. olive Garden was not one of them. Although Olive Garden is known all over NYC, and is known as one of the best italian restaurants in NYC, it is not. In my opinion Olive Garden has long, long lines that m,ove very very slow. Although the menu has good food listed on it, its not served properly. When i went with family and friends, I ordered Chicken Parmagian and wasn't what i expected at all, it was worse. Along with that, the service took way to long. I ordered my food with my family hours before i actually got the food on my table in front of me. According to me in my opinion, i wuold give Olive Garden a 3 out of 5 in restaurant ratings. But who knows maybe it was just one of there bad days.

Miss America 2010

Judges have finally selected a new woman to be Miss America. As it turns out Rima Fakih is Miss America 2010. Whats even more interesting is the new Miss America is a of the Islamic religion. Her parents were born to a muslim family and so was she. Although they are muslim they celebrate both the Islam and Chrisitian holidays. Although Rima Fakih was voted Miss America 2010, there were controversies on whether she should be Miss America because a recent video of her pole dancing was leaked. Another thing is since she was elected Miss America as a muslim, there will be many problems and controversies amongst the muslim community. There will be many arguments o n whethere this is right or not, and well, the muslim community will definitely consider this wrong. They will also say how this will give Islam a very bad image worldwide. All we can do now is wait and see what will happen, because time can tell everything.

N.Y. can live with fewer teachers Editorial

Dear Editor,

I am referring to your opinion posted on the Daily News editorial section where you said NY can live with fewer teachers. I disagree with your statement about having less teachers and more students per class. The reason why I disagree is because a lot of the schools in NY are already crowded with around 30-35 students per class when there's really suppose to be 20-25 students per class. If NY has less teachers this then means that in some schools the students per class can rise to 40 or more students. In a crowded class like those what can we posibbly learn? It would be to distracting, noisy many other problems. Another thing is many teachers have only one job, which is to teach. If teachers get laid off then they won't be able to support there families or kids. Instead of laying of teachers, why not lay off the teachers that don't teach at all and  just sit around all day, then hire teachers that actually teach and want kids to pass. Because many teachers in NY come to school to teach because they have to and not want to. There are many people out there that want to be teachers, not because they need a job to support themselves.

The Calm, Cool and Collected President Editorial

Dear Editor of the New York Times ,

I am referring to your opinion that you posted on the editorial section of the New York Times about President Obama being calm, collected and cool. I agree with you when you say President Obama is one President who can keep his cool in times like this. Usually you would expect a President to become rude and cranky when hes in stress because of all the problems going on around the world that he has to handle. I mean when your soldiers are in war dying daily and suffering, or when our country is going bankrupt or something worse you expect a President to probably just give up because it's to much to handle. But President Obama he has everything under control and stays calm with a postivie attitude that says "Things will start to get better". He always has a smile on his face which gives a great deal of relief to everyone and he always has a serious face when hes talking about something very serious. He thinks about the citizens and the people all around the world, not just himself. It seems as if we just got the President that we had been wating for for ages.

A homeless, illegal hero left to die editorial.

Dear editor of the New York Post,

I am referring to you opinion posted on the editorial section of the New York post on the homeless man that was left to die after saving a women from a robber. I completely agree with you when you say there are very few people left with humanity in this world. If 20 people passing a women being robbed and don't help and leave a homeless man to stop the robbery then pass by him dying in the streets is called humanity then this world is worse then we thought. What I'm trying to say is, okay you let a homeless man save the woman, but at least try to help him when he's dying , i mean he's a homeless man with no family and no where to go. Many people just left him to die because he's homeless and has no importance in the economy. Well, for all of you that think that, consider your self with no heart. Even a homeless person matters, even if they have no where to go or no one to go to. All humans are equal and deserve to be treated equally with the same amount of respect, disrespect, friendship and love. Not to many people think this way because if they did then this world would have been a place with no violence and crimes. Sadly, this world has a very long way to go before we can achieve something like this.

South Park Makes Fun of Prophet Muhammad Editorial

Dear Editor of Fox News ,

I am referring to the opinion you posted on the editorial section of Fox News about South Park making fun of Prophet Muhammad. On your editorial you wrote "we should not get scared by muslims that threaten to kill the South Park creators for making fun of Prophet Muhammad." Then you said the South Park creators should've replayed that episode a couple of times. Well that is total disrespect. Islam is a religion about peace and sacredness. They in any way do not make fun of any religion or any people. They keep there opinions to them selves and respect other religions. To disrespect a religion that never disrespects another religion on t.v, shows that we humans have no humanity left in us. Although i agree with you by going against the people that try to kill the creators of South Park because of this incident, I know it is not right to kill people that airs a show that everyone loves, but there should be some sort of consequence for making fun of such an innocent religion that respects every other religion. Although the world sees Islam as a religion that commits the sin of terrorism and violent doesn't mean we are all like that. There are specific Islamic people that think terrorism is the right thing to do. The true believers and followers of Islam do not consider terrorists as Muslims because everyone knows Islam forbids violence and terrorism completely.

Wierd man stabs himself to avoid work...why not just call in sick?

Aaron Siebers a 29 year old man eneded up telling cops that he stabbed himself in the leg to avoid work at blockbuster's. Siebers showed up at Blockbuster Monday night with a deep leg wound and several minor slashes on his face and stomach. He accused a Hispanic trio, clad in all-black, of robbing him and then stabbing him outside the local Target. Police searched for the trio with search dogs to find the criminals. Meanwhile, Siebers was rushed to Saint Anthony’s hospital and received several stitches to seal up his wound. Investigators reviewed the surveillance cameras at Target – the apparent scene of the crime – but found that no such attack had taken place. Although the stabbing got Aaron out of work, it sent him right to jail.http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/2009/11/05/2009-11-05_blockbuster_employee_aaron_seibers_stabs_himself_in_the_leg_to_avoid_going_to_wo.html

5,000-8,000 teens commit suicides yearly...but the question still remains...Why?

Well, the teen years are some of the hardest years one can go through. you are maturing and growing up, and  parents don't treat you differently. Hormones are raging, and body is changing and sometimes you don't know how to deal with that. many teens think they are so alone in everything. They think there's no future left for them nor is there any hope in there futues. There not sure how to deal with many issues that affect them, some decide that death is the best way out. They don't see an end to their suffering and they just want away from it all. what they don't realize is that teenage years mean nothing, especially when your in highschool. These years don't matter all you have to do is stand a lot of things and somehow get through the teen years. They have to realize once the teenage years are up they have a life. Sadly many teens don't see that and end up thinking suicide is the only way out.

Man tried to assassinate President Obama

A man named Joseph Sean McVey tried assassinating President Obama by pretending to be a cop. He rented a car and "dressed it up" to make it look like a cop car. He then asked to see President Obama while Obama's plane was ready to take of. Cops then stopped  because one of them saw a gun strapped on to his belt. They then grabbedhim and took him away. They saw that the gun wasn't loaded so they charged him for a misdeamnor. Cops are still trying to figure out whether McVey was targeting Obama or ha danother motive. But he is currently in jail with a $100,000 dollar bailout.http://www.aolnews.com/nation/article/joseph-sean-mcvey-arrested-near-president-barack-obamas-plane/19453712?icid=main|main|dl1|link1|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.aolnews.com%2Fnation%2Farticle%2Fjoseph-sean-mcvey-arrested-near-president-barack-obamas-plane%2F19453712

He has had 9 surgeries that failed because he coulldn't drink or swallow and couldn't breathe properly. He has lived like this for five years until finally a hospital in Spain helped him out by giving him a whole face transplant from a dead brain donor. The surgery lasted 24 hours an was done by 30 doctors. In the end the surgery was succesful. The doctors said within a couple of weeks everything will be back to normal as it was before he shot him self. The man will be able to eat, swallow and watch tv. South Park episode depicting Prophet Muhammad causes uproars.

Comedy Central's "South Park" included a representation of the Prophet Muhammad as a character this week even though a violent Muslim group warned them that its producers could be killed.Muhammad appeared on Wednesday night's episode of the cartoon with his body obscured by a black box, since Muslims consider a physical representation of their prophet to be really disrepectful. Last week, the character was believed to be disguised in a bear costume. When that same costume was removed this week, Santa Claus appeared. The bear costume had angered the New York-based group Revolution Muslim, which posted a message on its website saying that producers Trey Parker and Matt Stone had insulted their Prophet. The message included a gruesome picture of Theo Van Gogh, a Dutch filmmaker murdered by a Muslim extremist in 2004 after making a movie about a woman who rejected Muhammad's teachings. The message said the "South Park" producers would "probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh" for airing the show.

New $100 dollar bill with 3D security ribbon.

Treasury the company that prints and makes the US money has invented a new hundred dollar bill that will frustrate the people that make counterfeit money but it helps many people from getting played into a counterfiet hundred dollar bill. The way it works is pretty amazing. The new hundred dollar bill has a bell on the right hand bottom which if you tilt in a certain way will turn into the number 100. The bill will release on Feb. 10, 2011. It also features a color-changing inkwell and Liberty Bell to the right of Franklin's portrait on the bill.An embedded thread to Franklin's left will glow pink when placed under UV light. And the words "The United States of America" will be microprinted on Franklin's jacket. It was suppose to be released in 2008 then it was delayed so they can make more advanced security enhancements. Now the question is wil lthere be a criminal smart enough to make a counterfeit hundred dollar bill when the new one comes out? Lets hope not.

The next touch screen generation in your palm.

Chris Harrison, a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University and a former intern at Microsoft Research, has developed a prototype where you can control some of your I-phone functions on your arm such as texting answering calls. The prototype is called Skinput. The way it works is you have certain hand movements and sign languages using your hand that triggers the function that you want. The Skin-put is also provided with a projector called the pico projector that allows you to display an image of a digital keyboard on a person's forearm. So, using Skinput, someone could send text messages by tapping his or her arm in certain places without pulling the phone out of a pocket or purse. You might be wondering how does the icons come onto your hands, well there is a small band that is placed on your hand which is connected to the I phone somehow allowing it to display the icons onto your hands also letting you to click on it. Pretty amazing, but then again it's America.

Strangest News Ever.

A journalist once published in the newspaper that a new pitcher asked him if he can join the New York Mets. The reason he wanted to join was because he can pitch 168 mph with exact accuracy. The journalist replied to him by saying of course. When the coach of the Mets read the article he let the players know and together they celebrated because a gifted man with such pitching skills wanted to join there team. Turns out the pitcher was only real in the imagination of the journalist. Yes, the journalist made the whole thing up. There was no pitcher that can pitch 168 mph. I mean come on, who beleives that, especially when there wasn't even a car that can travle 168 mph!

Most Expensive Car in the World.

Bugatti Veyron $1,700,000. This is by far the most expensive street legal car available on the market today. It is the fastest accelerating car reaching 0-60 in 2.6 seconds. It claims to be the fastest car with a top speed of 253 mph+. To think people will waste over a million dollars on a car is  just absurd. You can buy at least two mansions with that kind of money. And another thing to point out is, what if the car gets messed up or something, what if you crash with it? Then thats a million dollars down the drain i guess, because reparing a expensive car liek that means expensive parts that arent found just anywhere. To get these parts will probably cost more than your car.

MAN KILLS THE GUY THAT ONCE MOLESTED HIM AS A TEEN.

Aaron Vargas who murdred his childhood molester, Darrell McNeill, was sentenced to prison for 50 years because of the manslaughter. Mcneill was his neighbor as a child when he was 11 years old. Thats when he was molested by him. Ever since then Vargas was tormented mentally and couldn't for get what happened to him. He had rvenge on his mind while growing up. McNeill used his position as a Boy Scout troop leader and as active neighborhood father to win the trust of Vargas and other young boys, Galliani said. He took the boys on camping trips or hikes, gave them alcohol or drugs and molested them, Galliani alleged. The alleged sexual abuse waned as Vargas grew into adulthood, but McNeill continued to call him and visit the home where Vargas lived with his wife and infant daughter. The continued contact drove Vargas to the breaking point, his sister said.

Obama funds federal funded abortions.

President Barack Obama has signed an executive order designed to ensure that no federal money can be used for elective abortions under the nation's new health care legislation.
Obama agreed to the order on Sunday to ensure passage of the health care overhaul that is central to his agenda. The deal won the votes of anti-abortion lawmaker Rep. Bart Stupak of Michigan and a bloc of other House members who wanted assurances that existing federal policy would not change.
The order affirms a prohibition on federal funding of abortions, except in cases of rape, incest or danger to the woman's life.
Obama invited lawmakers to the Oval Office for the order signing Wednesday but no members of the news media were allowed in the room.

Overdue library book due after 45 years.

A pretty weird and funny story but true. A mysterious person borrowed a book back in 1996 and all of the sudden decided to return it 45 years later. Talk about slow readers. Alison Lawrie, the principal assistant at Dinnington Library, near northern England's Sheffield says she tried looking back at the records to see who the borrower was but the records don't go back that far. It's very weird to return a library book after so long. Imagine the fines for the book. Even if its a penny they charge every day your late imagine how much money you owe! All the staff members of the library were very baffled when they saw the book in there mailbox. They decided the person doesn't have to worry about the fines, they just want to know who the person is and why they decided to return it almost half a century later. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100319/ap_on_fe_st/eu_odd_britain_overdue_book

Why have there been so much earthquakes lately?

A topic that arises a lot and gained a lot of attention since the Haiti earthquake is why are the so much more earthquakes nowadays? Well previously I thought there were more earthquakes, but now after comparing earthquakes from 1900's to the ones in the 2000's shows that we have much more advanced technology that detects even the slightest earth movemnt. The earth moves a lot. Sometimes it moves without us noticing it and other times it moves so much it destroys buildings and injures people. But basically what I'm trying to say is don't worry about it to much. The world is not ending or anything like that. It's just we have more advanced technology so we detct more plate movemnts inside the earth. Even back then there were many earthquakes and people didn't even notice half of them. Earthquakes are just a natural thing for the earth.

4.4 magnitude earthquake rattles Los Angeles.

A magnitude-4.4 earthquake rattled residents of Los Angeles early Tuesday morning. At first it was quick then it jolted up a little bit stronger. Luckily no damage or injuries was caused. Although it wasn't a very strong earthquake it cuased worries all around LA. Why? Well because of the recent earthquakes in Haiti and Chile. I mean, if there was a earthquake near NY, we would already be thinking get ready to die. Same thing happened to the residents of LA. But now the real question arises. Why are there so much disasters around the world now? It first started with an earthquake in Haiti then in Chile, then a tsunami and now another earthquake in LA. It seems a little creepy referring back to Nostradamus's theory of the world ending in 2012.

New Android Powered Internet Tablet

The new Archos 5 Internet tablet is out. It is an amazing device that has many features. So what makes this new device so special? Several reasons, but the first standout is Android. With the many pre-installed application (ranging from documents to twitter,) there is also the AppsLib. The AppsLib is a library of free and paid downloadable apps—and Archos is promising 300–450 apps that are in the pipe-line ready to go. Another amazing feature is an HDMI port. With this addition, you could be watching a movie as you commuting home and once you get there, simply plug the device into your TV and finish watching it. But, paired with the next features makes that port even more amazing. The Archos 5 supports an external keyboard connected either by Bluetooth 2.0 or the USB 2.0 host port. So now, why even take a laptop when you travel? Plug this into your TV and type away on an external keyboard to keep in touch. While it can come with either a 160 or 500 GB HDD, you can also take advantage of that port by plugging in an external hard drive and pretty much have infinite storage. Lastly, one of the best features of all, it features a kickstand on the back, making it so easy to watch movies or type using an external keyboard.

Trey Songz is bisexual?!?!

According to a trusted source Trey Songz is openly bi-sexual and has been seeing men since 2004. A source exclusively tells Bossip that Trey Songz was in a relationship with an industry professional named Brandon Hines  whom Trey worked with in 2004-2005 and was in a relationship with for roughly 6-7 months. While our source confirms that Trey does indeed sleep with men the source also says that Trey still continues to sleep around with women as well. This is very disturbing because now a lot of fans might just start hating him even with all his hit songs including "Say Ahh".

America's Obsession with Celebrities.

Why are we Americans so obsessed with celebrities? Well  the answer is plain and simple. Our lives are so boring and dull that we have to go pick on someone else's lives. And the best type of people for that is celebrities. There lives are so exciting and entertaining. We Americans just wait around for the celebrities to make just one mistake so we can spread rumors to the whole world. According to us thats what we call fun. Ruining lives for celebrites because our lives so boring and dull.

An example of this is the Tiger Woods incident. His car accident helped us find out that he cheated on his wife with numerous amount of women. The minute this was revealed the first thing we Americans did was drop whatever we were doing and turned on the t.v or computer or whatever we can get more information from, which is kind of disturbing because thats how obsessed we are with celebritiy gossip. Another example of celebrity gossip was when model Naomi Cambell abused and harrased her cab driver. I mean i understand why she did it and she does deserve some time, but that doesn't mean you have to tell the whole world and make a big deal out of it to embarass her. I mean people kill each other all the time and half the times cops and judges let them get away with it. And this celebrity does one little thing and the world goes cheering because they found a celebrity doing something wrong. Like i said before we do this because our lives are so dull and boring. http://www.popeater.com/2009/12/07/more-women-in-the-tiger-woods-scandal-emerge/

Naomi Campbell's incident with her chauffeur.

Hot-tempered fashion icon Naomi Campbell was on the lam Tuesday night after cops said she beat up her driver in a Manhattan meltdown. Police were searching the city for the 39-year-old model, last seen wearing a black designer coat and running through the bustling streets of midtown. She is also known for assaulting 2 other people a couple of years back. Both the assaults from a couple of years back inoilved weapons. Cops don't know if the recent assault involved a weapon.  The part that makes me angry is instead of being sent to jail for assault she had to serve 200 hours of community service and she got fined for $4,500. She also was ordered to take an anger management class. If it wasn't a celebrity we all know the cops would have grabbed the assualter by the neck and throw him into jail. But due to her being a celebrity she was spared...3 TIMES!. It bothers me and im sure a whole bunch of people that celebrities think they can do whatever they want whenever they want http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_crime/2010/03/02/2010-03-02_naomi_campbell_in_trouble_again_cops_hunt_supermodel_after_assault_on_limo_drive.htmlwithout getting into trouble.

Bomb detonated in Detroit school

A homemade bomb was detonated in the hallway of a Detroit school and that a student has been taken into custody. Luckily no one was hurt and the 540 kis that were in the school was evacuated and sent to a nearby school called Roberto Clemente Learning Academy. The kid that is suspected of starting the bomb is with authorities and authorities are not giving any details about him until they found out more about him and what his intentions were. This is a very shocking thing to hear. You don't usually expect this from elementary-highschool kids. Things have gone way out of hand nowadays.

Haiti Earthqauke vs. Chile Earthquake

As we all know the earthquake in Haiti was devasting emotionally and physically. The earthqauke in Haiti had a magnitude of 7.0, and it caused hundreds of thousands of deaths and practically destroyed the country of Haiti. Thousands of people were left injured and homeless. Many people were trapped under rubble either dead or unconsious. However Haiti had full support from countries all over the world to help it get back to its feet.

However a couple of days ago, Chile had an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.8. Now heres where it gets weirder. Haiti had an earthqauke with a magnitude of 7 and Chile with 8.8. So why did more people die in Haiti then in Chile? Well, Chile is wealthier and infinitely better prepared, with strict building codes, sturdy emergency response and a long history of handling seismic catastrophes. No living Haitian had experienced a quake at home when the Jan. 12 disaster crumbled their poorly constructed buildings. By contrast, no Chilean urban area suffered more than "severe" shaking the third most serious level  Saturday in its 8.8-magnitude disaster, by USGS measure. The quake was centered 200 miles (325 kms) away from Chile's capital and largest city, Santiago. In terms of energy released at the epicenter, the Chilean quake was 501 times stronger. But due to Chile's experience with earthquakes (such as the one in 1960 which was known as the world's most powerful earthquake) and due to there wealth and strict building codes millions of people survived.http://www.myfoxla.com/dpp/hot_stories/compare-chile-quake-haiti-quake-20100227t

Chile Earthquake

A massive 8.8 earthqauke hit Chile Saturday morning. It prompted several aftershocks, including a 6.3 earthquake in Argentina that killed two individuals. In addition, the quakes caused a tsunami in Hawaii that did not cause any casualties or damage. A tsunami was also felt in Ventura, California. Even though the building codes in Chile are better, there’s still a lot of structural damage done to a lot of the buildings and it will take a lot of time and money to re-build now that the quake is through. The earthquake caused many deaths, injusries and left thousands of people wihout homes. The earthquake in Chile released approximately 500 times as much energy as the Haitian earthquake in January, the death toll has been much lower, because of better seismic construction and the early morning tremor. This was Chile's second time facing an earthqauke. The first in 1960 which was known as world's biggest earthqauke which was caught on camera by scientists.http://www.breakingglobalnews.com/earthquake-in-chile/1223664

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

Believe it or not this movie was given a 4.5 out of 5. Seems like critics enjoyed the movie. The movie starts of with Logan Lerman as Percy, son of a human mom named Sally (Catherine Keener) and the god Poseidon (Kevin McKidd). Poseidon's brother Zeus (Sean Bean) believes that Percy has stolen his lightning bolt, the world's most powerful weapon. If he doesn't get it back ASAP, the consequences will be dire.

Unfortunately, Percy doesn't have it. In fact, he has always believed he was just a regular kid. So his protector, Grover (Brandon T. Jackson), takes him to a camp for other young demigods, run by a centaur named Chiron (Pierce Brosnan). Here he learns about his legacy from Annabeth (Alexandra Daddario), daughter of the goddess Athena.

When Percy finds out his mom was kidnapped by Hades (Steve Coogan), he sneaks out of camp with Annabeth and Grover. Their goal is to rescue Sally from the underworld, but they'll have to face challenges like the snake-haired Medusa (Uma Thurman) first.

Nearly all the adults are outrageously hammy, a strategy that only really works for Coogan. And Craig Titley's screenplay simplifies Riordan's world to such a degree that you could almost imagine the movie as a syndicated TV series. But the kids are charming, their adventures fast-paced and the effects suitably loud and explosive. Although the movie is rated PG, it's not PG. It has lots of violence and sexual scenes which aren't sutied for kids under, say 14-15. Another postive thing this movie caused is more book sales for this particular movie. After people saw the movie they loved it so much they started buying the whole series of books. Looks like the Harry Potter series has some competition.

Teacher saves students from being shot!

A 32-year-old gunman was shooting kids randomly at Deer Creek Middle School just after classes had ended for the day. Then a teacher named David Benke saw the guy shooting at middle school kids randomly and jumped on top of the guy who was struggling to escape. Another teacher saw what was going on and helped out David. Both of them tackled down the gunman to the floor and asked him why he was doing this, what his motive was. The gunman didnt answer anything. The answers he did gave either didn't make sense or was just a stupid answer. After saving the kids David Benke was called a hero. A senator and Police Commisioner thanked him. Benke has a facebook page where he has 14,000 followers because he is mentioned as a hero.http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100224/ap_on_re_us/us_colo_school_shooting;_ylt=Ak1zje_pc5F.M7ioMWKFM2oDW7oF;_ylu=X3oDMTJzazFjMTBvBGFzc2V0A2FwLzIwMTAwMjI0L3VzX2NvbG9fc2Nob29sX3Nob290aW5nBHBvcwM1BHNlYwN5bl9hcnRpY2xlX3N1bW1hcnlfbGlzdARzbGsDdGVhY2hlcnRhY2ts

Terrorist planned to bomb subways but caught!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100222/ap_on_re_us/us_nyc_terrorA former airport shuttle driver accused of buying beauty supplies to make bombs for an attack on New York City subways pleaded guilty Monday, admitting he agreed to conduct an al-Qaida-led "martyrdom plan" because of U.S. involvement in his native Afghanistan. Before we go on a martyrdom plan is a plan where the terrorist believes when they die or commit suicide they are dying for there religion, in other words they are dying to save mankind or a certain religion for God's sake.  However the man who planned to do this named Najibullah Zazi by the way was sentenced to a life time in prison with a bail out of $50,000. Because of this now there are rumors that there will be secret government people in all trains for protection.

School Spies on students through the laptops provided to them.

The Lower Merion School District made the headlines in the newspaper. Why? Well they did something unusual that most sane schools don't do. However this insane school had teachers provide students with laptops from the school that had webcams to spy on the students. The webcam can take as many as 20 photos of who ever was using the laptop or was in the perimeter of the webcam. The spying plan was unveiled by a student. He claimed how the teachers told him why he misbehaved in a certain way at home, etc. However the superintendent said they have now abandoned this practice. Also the only reason they did this was because they had 40 or more missing laptops from the school and was using this system to prevent future robbery of school laptops.http://www.nbc-2.com/Global/story.asp?S=12029400

Man pulled from Haiti Earthquake Rubble After 4 Weeks!

This is a miraculous story about a man named Evan Muncie who was found under rubble four weeks after the earthqauke. How he survived no one knows. The only thing the victim said was a man with a white coat kept coming to him and giving him water to survive. Whats even more amazing is Muncie had no serious injuries on his body from staying under the rubble. Doctors say he suffers from dehydration and malnutrition. The victim's mother said she thought he was dead, but lived because God didn't want him to die. Now what I'm thinking is, could the man in the white coat who provided the earthqauke victim water be an angel? I'm not a very religous person but from this miracle, i just might be.http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art201002091721610

LG Expo Projector Phone

AT&T has a new phone out that has a built in projector. It is called the LG Expo. Without its bulky projector pack, the Expo is a relatively slim sliding Windows Mobile 6.5 phone. It has a 1 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and LG's new S-Class user interface, which touches up Windows Mobile in a manner similar to the HTC TouchFLO and Samsung's TouchWiz. The Expo's QWERTY keyboard is excellent, well-spaced and clicky. There's a 5-megapixel camera on the back, but annoyingly no standard headphone jack. But you don't care about that much, do you? You care about the $179 projector attachment. The phone will cost $299, minus a $100 rebate, with a two-year contract; the projector costs an extra $179.

Twitter Forces Password Reset to Protect Some Accounts

Twitter is now forcing people to change there password because they have been getting hacked by hackers. a malicious hacker has been setting up file-sharing torrent sites that appear legitimate and then selling them to well-meaning buyers who want to own their own download site. Then after they buyers buy them the hacker uses it to find there email adress, password and username for twitter. So it is recommended that you change your password every month in my opinion, and be careful about what you buy and download of your computer.http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/188450/twitter_forces_password_reset_to_protect_some_accounts.html

Google vs. Apple- The War has begun

Google and Apple use to be the best of friends, but now there starting to drift away from each other and find each other as enemies and competitors. Ever since Apple rejected google's voice apps for the iphone, the two companies have been having this rivalry between each other. Both companies have advantages and disadvantages. Here I will list some of the advantages and disadvantages. Apple, is a worldwide seller, that sells more than just phones. They sell music players, GPS, headphones, and every other little electronics that you can think of. Google which is also known worldwide, has recently just started selling there own phones. Google is mostly known for being a search engine.http://www.forbes.com/2009/08/03/eric-schmidt-apple-technology-enterprise-steve-jobs.html

Invisibility Suit!

It started with cloaking materials, called metamaterials, developed at Ames Laboratory, at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Such materials can deflect microwave emissions around an object and restore them on the other side, rendering the object invisible. And recently the Ames Lab, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy, has achieved the same effect using visible light, giving metamaterial a negative refractive index. Think of it as the same visual trick that occurs when a river current flows over a rock to make it invisible. ---> Basically all this is trying to say is an invisible suit is created and might be used for reasons such as war, missions, etc.http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2124326,00.asp

Flying Car!

If US company Terrafugia has its way, the world’s first road-registered, air-worthy, flying car could be on the highways and in the skies by the year 2011. To drive it you only require a sport pilot license in the US. It can change to a car from a plane and vice versa in less than 30 seconds. Although it is an amazing invention that will hopefull come out by 2011, it costs $195,000. For the safety conscious, there is a safety cage, crumple zone, side impact protection and the owner can also have a full vehicle parachute, not recommended for use on the freeway. It seems this car plane is pretty well built in case it crashes. Theres already prototypes on it, and it actually works.http://www.deccanchronicle.com/gadgetology/flying-car-may-soar-2011-124

Is Hookah really bad for you?

Although it seems hookah is safer then cigarettes, its not. We all did hookah once or twice maybe even 5 times, but do we know what were getting into? Hookah seems safe because it's filtered through water. But no even though its filtered through water, your inhaling much more smoke, your innhaling carbon monoxide( a very dangerous toxic compound),  and your inhaling cancer causing materials, the coal used on hookah is also dangerous, it causes cancer and many other high risk diseases. There are many other things hookah causes, but it is not safer then cigarettes. Im not saying go and do cigarretes, im just comparing the two because many people mis understand hookah and think it's good for them.http://www.progressiveu.org/052242-the-truth-facts-about-hookah

Touch Screen Universal Remote

Theres a new remote out called the Philips RC9800i. This is a universal touch screen remote, and when i say universal i mean it works on almost anything that requires a remote such as a t.v, stereo, pc etc. It has built in wifi nd is very easy to use. Amazingly this remote has a usb port and you can download EPG data via the Internet. One of the bad things about this remote is it's a little irritating that the remote has to be docked in its cradle to stream music. SO basically it's not a portable music player, but what do we expect...it's a remote..lol. The prices for this particular device varies from $350.00-450.00. Is it really worth it? Yes, yes it is. As time passes by this remote will be upgraded more and more depending on the type of remote required systems there are.

One positive comment the phone got was that it is way better then an iphone and the new motorola droid. In my opinion i find this really true. But what are some negatives on it? Well according to some people they like touch screen phones with qwerty keyboards, unfortunately this phone is not one of it. It's internet isn't all that good and the camera, it says its 4 mp, well to some people its more like 2mp. Ill keep you guys up to date on this phone.

Bad News on the jail broken iphone

The latest news on the iphone is when it is jail broken it can get hacked really easy. Once its hacked and you go to a site that asks for personal information, the hacker can see everything. How? Well once its hacked they create a fake web page, for example say you go to chase.com on a hacked i phone, your not really going to chase.com your going to one thats similar to it that the hacker created, he then just takes your personal info.
