If US company Terrafugia has its way, the world’s first road-registered, air-worthy, flying car could be on the highways and in the skies by the year 2011. To drive it you only require a sport pilot license in the US. It can change to a car from a plane and vice versa in less than 30 seconds. Although it is an amazing invention that will hopefull come out by 2011, it costs $195,000. For the safety conscious, there is a safety cage, crumple zone, side impact protection and the owner can also have a full vehicle parachute, not recommended for use on the freeway. It seems this car plane is pretty well built in case it crashes. Theres already prototypes on it, and it actually works.
