America's Obsession with Celebrities.
Why are we Americans so obsessed with celebrities? Well the answer is plain and simple. Our lives are so boring and dull that we have to go pick on someone else's lives. And the best type of people for that is celebrities. There lives are so exciting and entertaining. We Americans just wait around for the celebrities to make just one mistake so we can spread rumors to the whole world. According to us thats what we call fun. Ruining lives for celebrites because our lives so boring and dull.
An example of this is the Tiger Woods incident. His car accident helped us find out that he cheated on his wife with numerous amount of women. The minute this was revealed the first thing we Americans did was drop whatever we were doing and turned on the t.v or computer or whatever we can get more information from, which is kind of disturbing because thats how obsessed we are with celebritiy gossip. Another example of celebrity gossip was when model Naomi Cambell abused and harrased her cab driver. I mean i understand why she did it and she does deserve some time, but that doesn't mean you have to tell the whole world and make a big deal out of it to embarass her. I mean people kill each other all the time and half the times cops and judges let them get away with it. And this celebrity does one little thing and the world goes cheering because they found a celebrity doing something wrong. Like i said before we do this because our lives are so dull and boring. http://www.popeater.com/2009/12/07/more-women-in-the-tiger-woods-scandal-emerge/

Bomb detonated in Detroit school
A homemade bomb was detonated in the hallway of a Detroit school and that a student has been taken into custody. Luckily no one was hurt and the 540 kis that were in the school was evacuated and sent to a nearby school called Roberto Clemente Learning Academy. The kid that is suspected of starting the bomb is with authorities and authorities are not giving any details about him until they found out more about him and what his intentions were. This is a very shocking thing to hear. You don't usually expect this from elementary-highschool kids. Things have gone way out of hand nowadays.

Haiti Earthqauke vs. Chile Earthquake
As we all know the earthquake in Haiti was devasting emotionally and physically. The earthqauke in Haiti had a magnitude of 7.0, and it caused hundreds of thousands of deaths and practically destroyed the country of Haiti. Thousands of people were left injured and homeless. Many people were trapped under rubble either dead or unconsious. However Haiti had full support from countries all over the world to help it get back to its feet.
However a couple of days ago, Chile had an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.8. Now heres where it gets weirder. Haiti had an earthqauke with a magnitude of 7 and Chile with 8.8. So why did more people die in Haiti then in Chile? Well, Chile is wealthier and infinitely better prepared, with strict building codes, sturdy emergency response and a long history of handling seismic catastrophes. No living Haitian had experienced a quake at home when the Jan. 12 disaster crumbled their poorly constructed buildings. By contrast, no Chilean urban area suffered more than "severe" shaking the third most serious level Saturday in its 8.8-magnitude disaster, by USGS measure. The quake was centered 200 miles (325 kms) away from Chile's capital and largest city, Santiago. In terms of energy released at the epicenter, the Chilean quake was 501 times stronger. But due to Chile's experience with earthquakes (such as the one in 1960 which was known as the world's most powerful earthquake) and due to there wealth and strict building codes millions of people survived.http://www.myfoxla.com/dpp/hot_stories/compare-chile-quake-haiti-quake-20100227t

Chile Earthquake
A massive 8.8 earthqauke hit Chile Saturday morning. It prompted several aftershocks, including a 6.3 earthquake in Argentina that killed two individuals. In addition, the quakes caused a tsunami in Hawaii that did not cause any casualties or damage. A tsunami was also felt in Ventura, California. Even though the building codes in Chile are better, there’s still a lot of structural damage done to a lot of the buildings and it will take a lot of time and money to re-build now that the quake is through. The earthquake caused many deaths, injusries and left thousands of people wihout homes. The earthquake in Chile released approximately 500 times as much energy as the Haitian earthquake in January, the death toll has been much lower, because of better seismic construction and the early morning tremor. This was Chile's second time facing an earthqauke. The first in 1960 which was known as world's biggest earthqauke which was caught on camera by scientists.http://www.breakingglobalnews.com/earthquake-in-chile/1223664
